WHAT TO WEAR FOR TRAINING

All Instructor New Hire Training Sessions include a few hours of indoor classroom time, and the majority of your training will be taking place outside on snow.  That means you will be spending long stretches of time outside.  Dress appropriately for the weather.

SOME RULES OF THUMB FOR SUCCESSFUL TRAINING:

  • DO Be on time and have all of your gear.

  • DO Be Prepared to be Outside All Day. Wear appropriate snow-sports clothes for the weather: gloves, snow pants, a snow jacket, and an extra layer for cold days.  Wear one pair of good ski socks!

  • DO Wear an Extra Layer: You will be learning about teaching Skiing and Snowboarding: that means you will be spending time standing and discussing, not ripping it as you might when on your own… an extra layer is always a good idea!

  • DO Wear Your Helmet: They are required, and don’t forget goggles!

  • DO Check the Forecast: Park City Weather Forecast

  • DO Bring a Snack: You will stop for lunch (buy on hill or bring with you), but it’s a good idea to have a small snack to stick in your pocket in case you get hungry early

  • DO Bring a Small Notebook and Pencil if you like to take notes

  • DO Have your Pass!

  • DO Use Sunscreen!
