NEW CERTIFICATION REIMBURSEMENT AND PAY ADJUSTMENT
Instructors are responsible for submitting proof of new certifications to the Ski & Snowboard School Admin Office for any applicable pay increases and reimbursements. Proof of new certification must include the date (at least month and year) that you earned your certification. (Your PSIA/AASI card does not suffice). For PSIA Level 2 and 3 - we need the results or dates for all 3 components (Ski/ Teach/ Technical MA) & receipts of payment.
CERTIFICATIONS ELIGBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT: (Assessment fees and the minimum prerequisites)
Alpine: Level 1, 2, 3
Snowboard: Level 1, 2, 3
Children’s Specialist: Level 1, 2
Alpine and Snowboard are eligible for reimbursement as secondary disciplines.
Reimbursement amounts are based on the requirements and fees of PSIA/AASI-Intermountain Region and will be reimbursed one to two pay periods after submission. For Level 2 and 3 Certifications and all Certifications Outside Intermountain Region, submit your receipts for reimbursement.
Reimbursements will be paid for certifications earned during the period of employment in the current season, with the exception of Level 1 passed after President’s Day. Those will be entered in the last pay period of December, only upon the instructor’s return, the following season.
Important note: All paperwork must be completed and submitted prior to the end of the season. Reimbursements are available to active employees only - certs earned before your hire date or rehire date are not eligible.
