2024 - 2025 SCHEDULE REQUEST

While we typically send out our Schedule Request to returning instructors after the Intent to Return mid-summer, this year we are pulling this process forward. This will allow our leadership team to be more out-front on entering schedules, and will also facilitate private lesson bookings earlier in the Fall.

We understand there is a lot of time between now and opening day next year, and we will continue to make any necessary schedule adjustments before the coming season to meet both your needs and the needs of our guests.

The following steps will guide you through the return process. If you have any questions, please contact us at pcinstadmin@vailresorts.com or speak to your Supervisor or Location Manager directly prior to the season ending.

Returning eligibility is contingent on your 23-24 seasonal evaluation score. All returning pros must receive at least an Achieves Expectations to be placed on SIS (Seasonal Inactive Status) and will not need to re-apply in the Summer. Please speak to your Supervisor or Manager to ensure you will be eligible to return.

Desired schedule requests are due by Thursday April 18th.

SCHEDULE COMMITMENTS

All commitments require completion of all Return Instructor Training, in addition to the teaching commitment as described below.

Local weekend programs count towards your commitment

Average 5 days/week (min 80 days) between 12/15 and 4/5, and must include 40 of the identified peak days, 5 days the week of Thanksgiving, and at least one of 12/25 and 1/1

At minimum of 18 days, with a minimum of 6 blue days and at least 3 days of either color in each December, February and March

Average 4 days/week (min 64 days) between 12/15 and 4/5, and must include 40 of the identified peak days, 4 days the week of Thanksgiving, and at least one of 12/25 and 1/1

A minimum of 32 of the red days

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • At this time, please fill out the form which will reflect the likely commitment you will be signing up for next season. We are flexible and can accommodate pre-season commitment changes if your circumstances change.

  • If you need to change your scheduling commitment, please email PCInstAdmin@vailresorts.com

  • Please save all scheduling swaps until you are contacted by your Location Manager when they return in the fall. Your manager will contact you to discuss the upcoming season and discuss availability.

  • Final date for submission is April 18th. If you fail to return a schedule by this date, you will be sent the schedule request form in late summer. A reminder that priority days are more likely to be guaranteed if you submit a schedule by 4/18

  • Contact your manager to request a location change. Location changes are not guaranteed and are based on current returning staff levels

  • Your pass will be active on the date of your pre-season meeting. We will be communicating throughout the summer and fall, as we get meetings scheduled.
