The Four Corners:

A sorting process in the Kids Corral/Beach

The whys

  • To expedite the organization of classes and departure of classes out of the Corral/Beach.

  • Provide an organized and safe view to parents

  • Provide consistent tactic to organize classes for instructors.

  • Better Age separation accuracy.

The Process

Four corners is to be used in children’s group products: Youth group and ATP.

  • Each ability level will have Four quadrants.

    • Older ski

    • Older snowboard

    • Younger ski

    • Younger snowboard

  • The Older kids are to stand up hill in the level area.

  • Younger kids to stand down hill in the level area.

  • As soon as the quadrant is full to fit class size of the product the group needs to hand in roster and move out of level area.

  • Supervisors will be ready to replace instructor as they leave to start process again.

  • Supervisors will pre assign appropriate numbers of instructors to stand at each level to start process. A minimum of 2 instructors per level per discipline, then moving to at least 4 during busy times. During very slow business levels, 1 instructor per level area will suffice.
