How the Koral/Beach works

What you need to be ready to enter the Koral/beach

  1. Know what your schedule says (you must check after 5pm the night before)

    1. Are you scheduled for: Kids groups, Adult groups, Privates?

    2. Not sure what your schedule means ASK A SUP

  2. Know when your scheduled product line up is

  3. Be completely in uniform

    1. Name tag

    2. Zipped up

    3. Pants over your boots

    4. No coffee or food in hand

    5. Booted up and skis or board with you

  4. You will need to bring all gear and layers you will need for the whole day knowing the weather will likely change.

where to go when you get to the Koral/beach

  1. Check in with the supervisor in charge of your product

    1. Sups rotate so you will need to find any sup and find out who is in charge of your product

  2. Show your health screen to your supervisor

  3. You will receive instruction/assignments by your supervisor for the morning

  4. If you see a situation that could use more instructors or help let your supervisor know. They may have you help if that fits within their plans.

  5. Go to assigned area and work with the instructors around you to help make the check in process as smooth as possible

  6. Fill out your roster as you add students to your group

  7. DO NOT choose a group to teach without being assigned to that group from a supervisor

When to leave the Koral/beach

  1. Never leave the yard without checking in with a supervisor or you have been dismissed

  2. Most days lessons will be released in waves or when the supervisor confirms we have all students

  3. Always turn in the copy of your roster into the supervisor or in a dedicated collection area

When to return to the Koral/beach

  1. Always aim to be in about 5 mins before the end time of your product

  2. If you have time for another lap you should take one (do you best to pace your final laps so you do not come in to early

  3. Plan your end of day mindset and execute

  4. Prep the kids for check out (make sure they don’t run away towards parents)

  5. Final passport/progress card prep should happen

  6. Debrief the lesson with your class

  7. Follow ALL Check Out Protocol and Connect with Each Parent

  8. Check out with your supervisor once all your students are checked out

    1. They will need returning student information
