Developing Trainer and T1 Passport

General Requirements

____ PSIA-AASI L2 or equivalent. (1 full season minimum)

____ Letter of intent to the Park City Training Manager on why you want to be a trainer

____ PC Trainer Goal Sheet submitted electronically to the Training Manager

A__ C __ Submit two letters of recommendation from Park City instructors- One from children         staff, and one from adult staff to the Training Manager

____ EOS review >= Achieves Expectations

____ Candidate is a role model in the locker room/location

____ Actively pursues trainer status each season. One season grace period when approved

____ Candidate is aligned with company values and demonstrates them through their actions

Trainer Development Clinic Attendance

____ Attends Trainer Development Clinic. Date: _________

____ Attends 1 Technical skills clinics. Date: _________

____ Attends 1 Clinic Leading Skills Sessions.  Date: _________

____ Attends 1 People Skills Clinics. Date: _________

On-Snow Presentation ______

____ Candidate creates a Word document, clinic outline based on a need of the ski and snowboard school. Outline format can be provided upon request. Other formats accepted.

____ Email outline to the Training Manager

  • Outline is reviewed by 2 of the following for accuracy/understanding – Training Manager, Training Supervisor, Select Reviewers. Candidate revises if needed.

____ Upon clinic outline approval the clinic will be scheduled.

____ Clinic is presented on snow and reviewed by auditor(s): i.e. Training Manager, Training Supervisor, Kids GM/Adult GM, Trainer, Attendees.

  • Candidate and auditor review candidate’s strengths and areas of opportunity. Clinic is repeated as necessary

  • His/Her commitment to their role within the training department

  • His/Her desire to expand their role

  • His/Her understanding of strengths and areas to grow

  • How his/her role impacts the internal and external guest experience
